The United States is a nation with 50 states covering a vast area of North America, including Alaska and Hawaii. New York and Washington, DC are the major Atlantic coast cities, as are Chicago and Los Angeles, famous for their filmmaking and influential architecture. Regardless of the state you choose to visit, the USA has an impressive array of beaches to choose from. These beaches are sure to be a perfect way to spend your summer days.
Santa Monica Beach
This beautiful Californian beach is known for its soft sands and mild climate. You can spend hours on the beach, or head over to the Santa Monica Pier for a bit of amusement. Muscle Beach, which used to be a beachside gymnastics area, is now popular with fitness fans. There are many things to do here, including swimming, volleyball, and eating hotdogs on a stick.
For those with a passion for the outdoors, Santa Monica Beach is ideal for a day at the beach. There are plenty of activities available on this beach, from volleyball and basketball to hiking and biking. The beach is also home to gym equipment. Visitors can also visit the nearby La Jolla Underwater Park to see sea lions and pelicans. You can also go kayaking and see garibaldi and gentle leopard sharks in the waters.
Visitors can visit Malaquite Beach on Padre Island to experience a taste of exotic Texas. This public beach features a wide, white sand beach, fishing, horseback riding, and other activities. The park located across from Caspersen Beach is fairly large and has restrooms, picnic tables, a fishing pier, and a covered playground. The park also features a 10-station outdoor fitness center and restrooms. The park also has a playground for kids. The quiet beach is also a great place for families to enjoy a picnic. St Simons Island
Known as Georgia’s Golden Isle, St. Simons Island is home to a three-mile stretch of beaches. The island is also known for its historic landmarks, including the 1872 St. Simons Lighthouse, which stands 104 feet high. The lighthouse’s 129-step spiral staircase leads to a historic Keeper’s Dwelling, which houses a museum.
The island is also home to over 300 species of birds. You’ll find plenty of species of birds on the island, including endangered species. Naturalists can take guests on guided birding tours or you can explore the islands’ wildlife on your own.
